Heart Essay Scholarship for High School Seniors
The Rouse Foundation offers an Annual Healthy Heart Essay Contest for West Georgia area high school seniors each year in January. Students write essays focusing on how to have a healthier heart. The essays are judged on ideas, style, organization and conventions. First, Second, and Third place winners are chosen and awarded a cash prize which can be used for college.

Go For Red Women's Heart Health Event
Our Annual Women’s Go For Red Heart Health Event is hosted in February each year for women around our community to enlighten them of disease prevention and living a healthy lifestyle. Topics such as COVID-19, blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar are discussed to provide you with tips on maintaining a strong and healthy heart.

Medical Screenings and Presentations
West GA Cardiology and The Rouse Foundation host local Health Screenings and presentations around our community throughout the year. At these events we examine your vitals such as Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Cholesterol, etc. and teach you several ways of how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. King of Hearts Men's Heart Health Screening & Seminar
The Rouse Foundation host an Annual King of Hearts Men's Health Screening and Seminar to provide knowledge to the men of our community about maintaining or preventing heart health issues. This event is held each year in June for Men's Health Month. We offer a screening where we examine your vitals such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar and give you tips and recommendations on living a healthier lifestyle.

Sponsor of Village Youth Summit Back to School Event
Each year, The Rouse Foundation is a sponsor of The Village Youth Summit Back to School Event. The purpose behind it is to bring together families, city officials, resource organizations and churches to encourage the community to be the “village it takes to raise our children”.

90 Plus Club Celebration
Our 90 plus club is a celebration luncheon for Seniors 90 years and older. It is held annually each August, we host this event to show our appreciation for our elders while reminding them of healthy lifestyle tips.

Giving Hearts Hats & Gloves Giveaway
Every December, The Rouse Foundation hosts a Giving Hearts Hats and Glove Drive. Here we do a part in giving back to the community by accepting donations and giving out winter wear for our local children.
